With a bachelor's degree in marketing from Florida Gulf Coast University, Ellen Polite focused her studies on business, finance, and accounting. Currently, Ellen Polite is a digital marketing and graphic design intern at Artichoke & Company, a catering company based in Bonita Springs, Florida. In this role, she creates all graphics promoting seasonal events and other special offerings.
Artichoke & Company serves its clients by planning events such as weddings, corporate events, and small gatherings. It selects the venue, creates custom menus, coordinates rentals, and is responsible for every other particular of an event.
The menus are innovative and tailored to the client's needs, tastes, and budget. Once Artichoke's event coordinators get the clients' menu selections, they create a custom menu of innovative cuisine.
The company has several vendor connections, providing its customers with rentals of items such as tables, chairs, linen, flatware, glasses, lighting, and dance floors. At each event, Artichoke provides a service staff that is responsible for setup, hors d'oeuvres, and bartending. They are also responsible for cleaning up afterward.
Once the client makes their menu selections and determines the venue, the number of guests, service staff, rentals, and other services, Artichoke's planners create an invoice for the event that is emailed to the client, along with the custom menu, for review.
